【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiestheServicesandEventReportsforComputer-SupportedTelecommunicationsApplications,PhaseIII(CSTA).ThisInternationalStandardisfocusedonprovidingapplicationserviceinterfacestoaSwitchingFunction,ComputingFunctionandaSpecialResourceFunction.ACSTAapplicationinterfaceisdisassociatedfromthevarioususer-networkinterfacesandnetwork-networkinterfacesCSTAapplicationsmayserve,observeormanipulate.BecauseCSTAoperateswithexistingtelecommunicationsinterfacesindirectly,itoperatesgenerically,sothatdifferencesamongvariousexistinginterfacesarehiddenfromCSTAapplications.Supportofuser-to-networkinterfacesisoutsidethescopeofCSTA.Althoughmostterminalequipment(TE)issuitableforusewithCSTA,therewillbeinstancesofTEthatwillnotbesuitableincertaincircumstances.Examplesare:?FAXterminalsandmodemsthatareunabletoadjusttheirtransmissionmodestopreventcarrierconflictwhenbothpartiesarealertedviaCSTAduringcallestablishment;?functionalterminalsthatperformtelecommunicationfunctionsoutsidethecontroloftheSwitchingFunction.ServicesdefinedinthisInternationalStandardallowfunctionalintegrationbetweenacomputingnetworkandatelecommunicationsnetwork.Computingplatforms(i.e.,ApplicationProgrammingInterfaces-APIs)thatsupportsuchfunctionally-integratedapplicationsareoutsidethescopeofthisInternationalStandard.Communicationbetweenthecomputingandswitching(i.e.,telecommunications)networksmaytakeplaceviainterveningnetworksrangingfromsimplepoint-to-pointconnectionstolocal-orwide-areatelecommunicationsnetworks.ThisInternationalStandardispartofasuiteofCSTAStandardsandTechnicalReportsthatprovideacomprehensivedescriptionofthearchitecturalandpracticalissuesinvolvedinapplying,implementing,andutilizingCSTA-basedcomputertelephonyintegration(CTI)applications.
