【摘要】:Oilabsorptionnumber(OAN)isameasureoftheabilityofacarbonblacktoabsorbliquids.Thispropertyisafunctionofthestructureofthecarbonblack.Eitherdibutylphthalate(DBP)orparaffinoilisacceptableforusewithstandardpelletedgrades,includingN-seriescarbonblacksfoundinASTMD1765,althoughOANtestingusingparaffinoilonsomespecialityblacksandpowderblacksmayresultinunacceptabledifferencesascomparedtoOANtestingusingDBPoil.Whilestudieshaveshownthetwooilstogivecomparableprecision,paraffinoilofferstheadvantageofbeingnon-hazardous.ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesamethodusinganabsorptometerforthedeterminationoftheoilabsorptionnumberofcarbonblackforuseintherubberindustry.Thesamemethodisusedforthedeterminationoftheoilabsorptionnumberofcompressedsamplesofcarbonblack.TheprocedureforthepreparationofthecompressedsamplesisdescribedinAnnexA.
