【摘要】:Thesetestsareusefulforproductioncontrolandforacceptancetestingofproducts.Interpretingtheresultsofqualitativemethodsfordeterminingtheadhesionofmetalliccoatingsisoftenacontroversialsubject.Ifmorethanonetestisused,failuretopassanyonetestisconsideredunsatisfactory.Inmanyinstances,theenduseofthecoatedarticleoritsmethodoffabricationwillsuggestthetechniquethatbestrepresentsfunctionalrequirements.Forexample,anarticlethatistobesubsequentlyformedwouldsuggestadraworabendtest;anarticlethatistobesolderedorotherwiseexposedtoheatwouldsuggestaheat-quenchtest.Ifapartrequiresbakingorheattreatingafterplating,adhesiontestsshouldbecarriedoutaftersuchposttreatmentaswell.Severalofthetestsarelimitedtospecifictypesofcoatings,thicknessranges,ductilities,orcompositionsofthesubstrate.TheselimitationsarenotedgenerallyinthetestdescriptionsandaresummarizedinTable1forcertainmetalliccoatings.x201C;Perfectx201D;adhesionexistsifthebondingbetweenthecoatingandthesubstrateisgreaterthanthecohesivestrengthofeither.Suchadhesionisusuallyobtainedifgoodelectroplatingpracticesarefollowed.Formanypurposes,theadhesiontesthastheobjectiveofdetectinganyadhesionlessthanx201C;perfect.x201D;Forsuchatest,oneusesanymeansavailabletoattempttoseparatethecoatingfromthesubstrate.Thismaybeprying,hammering,bending,beating,heating,sawing,grinding,pulling,scribing,chiseling,oracombinationofsuchtreatments.Ifthecoatingpeels,flakes,orliftsfromthesubstrate,theadhesionislessthanperfect.Ifevaluationofadhesionisrequired,itmaybedesirabletouseoneormoreofthefollowingtests.Thesetestshavevaryingdegreesofseverity;andonemightservetodistinguishbetweensatisfactoryandunsatisfactoryadhesioninaspecificapplication.Thechoiceforeachsituationmustbedetermined.Whenthisguidelineisusedforacceptanceinspection,themethodormethodstobeusedmustbespecified.Becausetheresultsoftestsincasesofmarginaladhesionaresubjecttointerpretation,agreementshallbereachedonwhatisacceptable.Ifthesizeandshapeoftheitemtobetestedprecludesuseofthedesignatedtest,equivalenttestpanelsmaybeappropriate.Ifpermitted,testpanelsshallbeofthesamematerialandhavethesamesurfacefinishastheitemtobetestedandshallbeprocessedthroughthesamepreplating,electroplating,andpostplatingcyclewiththepartstheyrepresent.1.1Thispracticecoverssimple,qualitativetestsforevaluatingtheadhesionofmetalliccoatingsonvarioussubstances.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
